SPEECH TO TEXT · 23 OCTOBER 2026

Turn a recording into subtitles on your Mac.

Transcribe interviews, lectures, and videos into subtitles or a document without uploading the recording.

Subtitles and transcripts usually mean sending a recording to an online service. Convert2Any recognizes speech on your Mac instead, so the recording stays with you.

Pick the output you need.

Add an audio or video file and choose SRT or WebVTT for subtitles, or TXT, Word, or PDF for a transcript you can read and edit. Subtitles keep the timing of each line, and a text transcript can start each paragraph with its time, such as [00:12:03].

Choose the language and model.

Convert2Any recognizes 99 languages. Let it detect the language, or choose it yourself when you know it. It can also translate the speech into English. The standard model suits most recordings; the most accurate model is larger, and the fastest takes about 30% less time.

Install the speech pack once.

Speech recognition uses an optional speech pack. The first time you transcribe, the app explains the pack and asks before downloading it; after that, transcription runs on your Mac without an internet connection. A long recording shows the time left, and you can cancel at any point.
